Will you keep yours?

For some of you,
you may think it is odd
that I am just now bringing up resolutions.

However, for me,
resolutions start after my birthday
not on the 1st.

It is just more realistic for me than the first.
Not to mention I don't have to deal with
the crowd at the gym by the middle of January.

So my question is,
Do you actually keep your resolutions?
If you slip up once do you quit?
Or do you get back on the wagon?

I am claiming 2012, my 35th year as MY year.
I am bound and determined to make some changes this year.
I have a resolution list a mile long.

Do I think I will knock every single one out of the field?
No, but I believe in the old saying,
shoot for the moon and you'll land on a star.
So that is what I am shooting for.

So, here's to keeping yours
and to changes at the next exit!

It's my birthday!

It's my birthday!

Ok, actually yesterday was my birthday,
but I was too busy partying it up for my big 3-5 to blog.

My girls and hubby brought me
breakfast in bed with homemade cards
before church.
PRECIOUS!

After Church we headed over to my mom's home
for my birthday party.

I have 5 sisters and to this day
my mom still has a birthday party
for each and everyone of us
every year.

I mean she even had pink balloons
on the mailbox.

I have the BEST family in the WORLD!

.
I consider my friends and family the best gift I could ask for.
Thanks to everyone who made me feel
soooooo SPECIAL on my 35th birthday.

Mogie's 5th birthday party....

Mogie's 5th birthday party.

A vintage puppy dog theme....

This post has LOADS of pictures.
I just could not narrow down which ones to post.

We had a milk and cookies bar.
All of the different flavors of cookies were served on different plates,
and each plate was guarded by a different puppy figurine.

The plates and napkins were set up
in a vintage child's hat box with pups on it.

The milk was served in
"milk bottles"
with "Got Mogie Milk" labels

 We made customized necklaces
and bracelets.

and drew on vintage coloring pages
that I printed out on heavy paper stock.

 played some mean rounds of
bean bag toss.

And pin-the-tail on the puppy.
Not sure how I missed taking pictures of that.
The favors were a box of
Cracker Jacks
with a label that read,
"I am so dog-gone glad you came to my party.  Love Mogie"

Vintage puppies were scattered every where.

Almost every gift was of a dog of some sort.
Everyone knew how much she loves dogs.

It's an official party when
someone hits the floor.

Thanks to everyone that came and helped make it such a special day for Mogie.
It is hard to believe that she is 5!

My mom and dad....

As I was putting away Christmas for the year,
I came across my mom and dad's Christmas card.
So, I thought I would share them with you.
They are the absolute greatest people in the whole wide world.
I am so blessed to call them mine.

Just look at their Christmas card this year!
Last year, their Christmas card was a picture of them on
an elephant from when they were in Africa.

They may be hams for the camera.
{wonder where I got it?}

They are so adventurous and still in love.

I just adore them, and
I just had to share them with you.  Hope your 2012 is off to a good start!

Welcome 2012....

Welcome 2012!

"...forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before..."
