metting chairs....

One of my latest obsessions
Is what I like to call
"meeting chairs"

The set I have is from
an American Legion club.

They are so handy to have around.
I use them for entertaining constantly,
and they fold up so nicely for storage.

If i spy anymore when I am
out and about.
I will be snatching  them up.
I think it would look amazing to have
10-12 of them from different clubs
around my outdoor dining table.
Not to mention,
when it was time to go sit around the fire,
you could just pick it up and go!

Hope everyone is having an amazing holiday!

Christmas inspiration....

Some photos found on pinterest
that are inspiring me this year...
 One year,
I really will get around to
forcing bulbs for the holidays!

 love the simplicity of the
green and white.

 love the collection of greenery
and pine cones in arms reach
for all those holiday projects
and decorations.

Gotta love some pinterest inspiration!

Got our tree the other night....
needless to say,
the girls were a wee bit excited about it.

They are such a mess...

If it ever stops raining here,
we will finish the outdoor decor
and I will be able to share.

At this rate, Christmas will come and go
and the rain will have never left.

Oh well, I guess I will start sharing
the inside decorations tomorrow.

See you then...

hair did, hair do....

To go along with the
Fall Fashions post,
I thought I would post about the
hair dos I am obsessing over....

Just look at all these ways to wear
"messy hair"
{my favorite way to wear my hair}
{{sometimes not always on purpose}}
in a controlled way...

LOVE THEM ALL!
So, I have a hair apt on Friday
for a cut and sytle.
I am thinking I will just be getting a trim,
and growing it out again thanks to
all the above inspiration!

French trunk....

My new, old coffee table...
a French trunk
I actually bought it to sell in the shop,
had a change of heart,
gave it to my mom,
had a change of heart,
asked for it back.
before you decide I am a bad daughter,
let me just say that we switch stuff up all the time,
and truth be told, more goes her way than mine.
So, it's justified....right?
I  love the old labels and stickers on the side...
 ...and the label that says
Paris, France

I like the bark brown
in the room against all the whites.
Gives a little contrast.
I know I just posted on this room,
but if it wasn't already obvious....
I change things around sometimes a lot constantly.

Hubby loves hates this part of living life in the cottage.

fall fashions....

I think Fall is my favorite
 time of year for fashions.
I am sure it has everything nothing
to do with the fact
that Fall clothing makes it easier to
 hide what needs hiding.
Either way, it is my favorite.

So, I thought I would share what I am currently obsessing over.....

Loads and loads of layered jewelry....
Statement necklaces piled on top of statement necklaces.
Statement bracelets piled on top of statement bracelet.
The more the merrier this season for me.
The boyfriend loafer....
Nothing can replace the knee high boot
for me, but if I have to
give the boots a day off,
this is what I am heading for.
grey cardigans....
 with absolutely
anything and everything.
I wear mine pretty much every day.
stripes....
I am really loving them in every color.
I even think they are flattering in
the horizontal stripe thanks to my
handy, dandy grey cardigan.
(or any color for that matter)

mixing grey with brown....
another look I am loving right now.
My two favorite neutrals together!
Flannel shirts....
So comfy and so chic now.
Thank you!

Wellies...
I have a pair of black Hunters,
but I wouldn't mind having this pair either.
I'm thinking Christmas present.
Boot socks....
I wear these on a daily basis.
With dresses and boots,
jeans and boots,
 leggings and boots.
They also help with warmth when the days get colder.

Now you know what I am wearing these days.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Front of the house for Fall....

 The cottage on Covington
all dressed up for Fall...

I used all the left overs from
the Fall Frolic at Little LuLu's.

 pretty darn festive...

I don't usually go all out for Fall/Thanksgiving.
I'm usually too exhausted after Halloween,
but I just couldn't let it all go to waste.
I even threw a Fall sign
on top of the paper wreath.
It's all coming down on Friday though.
I'm trading in Fall for fa-la-la!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
