fall fashions....

I think Fall is my favorite

 time of year for fashions. 

I am sure it has everything nothing

to do with the fact

that Fall clothing makes it easier to

 hide what needs hiding.

Either way, it is my favorite.

So, I thought I would share what I am currently obsessing over.....

Loads and loads of layered jewelry....

Statement necklaces piled on top of statement necklaces.

Statement bracelets piled on top of statement bracelet. 

The more the merrier this season for me.

The boyfriend loafer....

Nothing can replace the knee high boot

for me, but if I have to

give the boots a day off,

this is what I am heading for.

grey cardigans....

 with absolutely

anything and everything.

I wear mine pretty much every day.

stripes....

I am really loving them in every color.

I even think they are flattering in

the horizontal stripe thanks to my

handy, dandy grey cardigan.

(or any color for that matter)

mixing grey with brown....

another look I am loving right now.

My two favorite neutrals together!

Flannel shirts....

So comfy and so chic now.

Wellies...

I have a pair of black Hunters,

but I wouldn't mind having this pair either.

I'm thinking Christmas present.

Boot socks....

I wear these on a daily basis.

With dresses and boots,

jeans and boots,

 leggings and boots.

They also help with warmth when the days get colder.

Now you know what I am wearing these days.

Front of the house for Fall....

 The cottage on Covington

all dressed up for Fall...

 I used all the left overs from

 the Fall Frolic at Little LuLu's.

 pretty darn festive...

I don't usually go all out for Fall/Thanksgiving.

I'm usually too exhausted after Halloween,

but I just couldn't let it all go to waste.

 I even threw a Fall sign

on top of the paper wreath.

It's all coming down on Friday though.

I'm trading in Fall for fa-la-la!

Thanksgiving....

A few little touches of Thanksgiving sprinkled through out the cottage....

I have three vintage turkeys sprinkled on

my buffet shelves,

and the Friendly Village dishes have

made their way out.

an old Thanksgiving greetings

post card tucked under a cloche...

and another one propped up on a platter.

I just love my tiny turkeys.

Where did the year go?

fall inspiration with a touch of white....

As obsessed as I am about white,

I was thrilled to find a little fall inspiration

with a touch of white....

love these simple but sweet

window boxes.

This is definately on the list for next year.

I adore white pumpkins,

even velvet pumpkins are just a little bit

prettier in white.

Can you believe that next week is Thanksgiving?!

I am actually starting to get in the mood for the Christmas.

Did I just say that?

Fall on Covington....

The leaves are falling all around us

in our little cottage on Covington...

So, it made me want something that represented fall

on my dining room table.

I sent the kids out to gather some pine needles.

I thew the needles, some nuts in the shell, some pumpkins

and some gourds in a strawberry picker basket.

put my burlap table runner underneath,

and done!

a little touch of Fall on Covington...

Fall inspiration....

I went looking for a bit

of Fall inspiration,

and boy-oh-boy did I get it....

everyone should have

an apple cider bar set up at all times!

pretty rakes and wagons

make the chore of leaves

seem less like a chore!

{hubby disagrees with this statement}

I love the book wall

and platters.

Stunning....

So simple, but yet such a big impact.

 If the weather were to permit,

we will so be having Thanksgiving

outside this year!

Thanksgiving mantle....

Yesterday, I showed you what my typical mantle looks like,

and you can click here to see my Halloween mantle,

so I thought I would show you my Fall/Thanksgiving mantle.

I like to use things that are not traditionally used,

so I went with quail and some pine needles...

It still has that Fall bounty feel,

but just a little more subtle.

My mantle for Thanksgiving is done...

I like to use nature's bounty for my Thanksgiving decor.

mantle is loaded with

pumpkins,

gourds,

sunflower seeds,

almonds,

in-shell mixed nuts,

sheaths of wheat

and peasants.

with some mirrors,

candles,

a chalk board,

and some topiaries

thrown in for good measure...

Let' s not forget the all important cloche!

Halloween up,

Thanksgiving out,

menu planned,

grocery list made,

So many little things to be thankful for everyday!
