grey goodness.....

Another color that I am absolutely
crazy about is grey.

Check out these beautiful rooms
designed in grey....

I love this color.
looks like a grey with blue undertones.
I love the cow hide rug on the dark wood floor too.
this is a safe and soft grey.
Every color would look good
as an accent to this shade.
this porch is beyond yummy.
I love how they even painted
the woodwork grey.
love grey in the kitchen.
How great would this wall color
look with marble counter tops.
this kitchen would be great inspiration
for an out-dated kitchen.

Just take the door off the cabinets,
paint the bases grey,
and accessorize like crazy.
this looks like vacation to me.
and I am obsessed with stripes
used in different ways.
this dining room looks so rich, classic and elegant,
but modern because of the color pallet.
You can not top a Chesterfield sofa,
but one in grey velvet?
I am dying!
Would love, love, love this!

Hope you enjoyed all the
 grey goodness
on this Friday!

Navy is no longer a maybe....

Ok, so I've decided
and navy is no longer a maybe.

I am definitely doing it!
Hopefully this weekend.
So, in honor of my decision,
I decided to share a few more of
the pictures that won me over...

I love how every style
 looks good with it.

and every color looks good with it....

Now, I just need this print
 to go over my couch
and I will be all set.

Even navy pillows look great!

and here is a more subtle way to
infuse the color.....
but not for me.....
I am jumping in all the way.

Now to the paint store
to decide on my perfect shade.
Any suggestions?
Hopefully in the next week or so
I will have my own pictures to share!

to navy or not to navy.....

Hubby and I have plans to paint the family room,
living room and dining room.

So, I have been searching around the Internet,
Pinterest and blogs for inspiration.

Here are some photos that are swaying
me towards a navy wall....

Maybe even do one accent wall...

I think my white couch
and leather chairs would pop
against the color.

How about a navy door?
I think it would look great on
my stone cottage,
but what color shutters?
Here is a reverse of my possible new
color scheme.
White walls and navy furniture....
It even looks good in a bathroom...
and on wood work....
So, what do you think
to navy, or not to navy?

pallet passion....

My passion for pallets is ever expanding,
and I can clearly see that I am not the only one.

Check out some of these clever ideas on how to use pallets....

How about a pallet back splash.

or a storage shelf in your pantry or kitchen

here is a cheap, simple cabinet
turned ultra chic
when covered with wood from a pallet.
runners covered with pallet wood.
How cheap and easy?
Even pallets turned into
a piece of furniture!
Just look at all that storage.

And this floor,
Don't even get me started on
how amazing this floor is!
I would love to have this bench
any where in home!
I desperately need a kitchen big enough
to house this pallet table as an island.

a pallet even looks good as a headboard.
And, which room could I line with pallet wood?
Hhhhuuummmm?
Is there anything that pallets can not do?
There are even more wonderful ideas out there
on how to use these super cheap and usually free pallets.
The question now is, where do I begin.

a table moved....

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while....
My computer got stepped on, dropped, tossed, _________
{add your own guess}
by the "ididntdoitmusthavebeenher trolls"
The screen now looks like a lava lamp.

I am hoping it can be repaired.
For now I am using hubby's laptop.
It feels strange not to have my old faithful.

Any who,
I wanted to show you a table that I moved a corner
in my dining room...

I love the mix of a shabby old table
elevated by throwing some crystal candelabras on it.
This is the caddy that I move in and outside
for outdoor dining.
It is filled with old ball jars
that hold utensils....
and then finally,
a pair of old shutters behind everything
to fill the corner....

This is what the table used to look like,
before it got a fresh coat of paint
and a new location....

You can click here to see what landed in the spot
that this got stolen from....
Have a great Monday!

new window treatments...

Ok, so I really am VERY settled on these window treatment....
I know I just did the burlap treatments,
but I just wasn't completely satisfied with them.
They are staying in the rotation.
I just think I am going to save them for the fall
when I need some earth tones and burlap....
I waited until Hubby went out of town
before I sneaked hung them up.
A few days later,
He said, "are those new?"
Well by then, the honest answer was no....

I have a loose definition of new.
Happy Day, ya'll!
